Chislehurst Glebe (H) Match Preview

Punjab United vs Chislehurst Glebe, SCEFL Premier Division, The Steve Cook Stadium, Saturday 29th November 2025, 3:00pm Kick-Off

Punjab were able to bounce back after a defeat to Rusthall earlier this month after

successfully taking down Greenways FC in the Kent Senior Cup, 9-8 on penalties, a true

team effort with great saves from Owen Bushell and thunderous penalty kicks from the

rest of the team.

Punjab now turns their attention to some SCEFL action against Glebe who will be

travelling down to the Steve Cook Stadium this afternoon.

The programme for this afternoon's game can be seen below.

Our Opponents:

Glebe has had a very difficult start to the season with them currently sitting in the relegation zone with 11 points and quite a few points away from safety.

They have scored the 3rd fewest number of goals this season, presenting a challenge

that they are having with their forward momentum, however they seem to be solid at the back.

Glebe's manager has already spoke about difficulties they have had in ‘’wrapping up

games’’ and this is evident when looking at their win percentage which is the lowest in

the league with 11.8%.

Despite their tricky start Glebe has had some standout players, one of those being

Jamie Philpot who has already scored 11 goals in the league this season.

It is true that Glebe has aspects that they are seeking to improve, but with nothing to

lose and with Punjab having everything to gain, this could well and truly be anyone's

game.

History:

Founded in 1995 as youth side Glebe Globetrotters, the club grew into one of Kent’s top

junior outfits before forming a senior team in 2010 and joining the Kent Invicta League in

2013. After securing a permanent home in Chislehurst in 2014, Glebe built a modern

15-acre sports complex and now runs 25+ junior teams plus senior, ladies, youth and

vets sides. The first team earned promotion to Step 5 in 2016/17, reached the FA Vase

3rd round in 2021/22 and recorded a best-ever 3rd-place finish.
