Corinthian FC (H) Match Preview

Punjab United vs Corinthian FC, SCEFL Premier Division, The Steve Cook Stadium, Tuesday 9th December 2025, 7:45pm Kick-Off

ree

After an exceptional performance against Burnham FC, Punjab came out on top by being 2-1 winners with a brace from top goal scorer Roman Campbell. This win was a historic one as Punjab United progress into the Isuzu FA Vase Fourth Round.

Our history makers now turn their attention to SCEFL where they face Corinthian FC at The

Steve Cook Stadium. Punjab are currently unbeaten in their last 3 games with only 2 defeats in their last 12 matches. A win tonight would move Punjab as high as 5th and into the playoffs for the first time this season.

The programme for tonight's game can be seen below.

Our Opponents:

Corinthians have a difficult start to their SCEFL season as they currently sit in 16th place and closer to the relegation zone then they would have been hoping for.

In terms of player quality, Corinthians does house some attacking talent with Tom

Mitcham leading the team in scoring and is definitely one Punjab will be on the look out to stop in his tracks.

In their last five games, Corinthian have picked up only one win against Hollands & Blair.

History:

Corinthian FC, founded in 1972 by R.J. Billings Snr., built its reputation on fair play and strong youth development. After rising to men’s football and competing in the Southern League, the club later refocused on rebuilding its youth structure before returning to senior competitions. They enjoyed strong seasons from 2015–2020, including a near-promotion and a deep FA Vase run halted by Covid.

Promotion to the Isthmian League followed, but a later rebuild led to relegation. In 2023/24, Michael Golding guided Corinthian to both the play-off and League Cup finals, losing both on penalties, as the club heads into the 2024/25 season.

At the end of the 2024/25 season Michael Golding left his roll as Corinthian First Team Manager after 10 1/2 years in charge. Keith McMahon takes over the roll for the 2025/26 season.
