Whitstable Town vs Punjab United, SCEFL Premier Division, The Primcura Healthcare Stadium, Saturday 26th July 2025, 3PM KO

After last nights defeat to Sheppey United, Punjab now prepare for a tough opening game against Whitstable Town, two teams who lost their semi-final playoff against Fisher and VCD respectively.
Punjab are coming off an incredibly positive pre-season, with statement wins like a 4-1 victory over Ropes and good performances regarding results. Punjab will be going into this game, hoping to make an example of one the best teams in the league last season, and show the rest of the SCEFL what Punjab can do.
Our Opposition:
Whitstable Town ended their season with mixed feelings after losing in the SCEFL Premier Division Playoffs against Fisher. However, they will be full of confidence with making headlines by lifting the FA Vase at Wembley Stadium.

Whitstable Town have undergone a transformation under manager Jamie Coyle, who took over last summer and in one season has delivered silverware. His appointment, along with a strong backroom staff that includes long-time coaching partner Matt Longhurst and ex-goalkeeper Dan Eason, has reignited a winning mentality at the club.
History:
Whitstable Town Football Club, set up in 1885, is one of Kent’s oldest and most historic
non-league sides. The club has played at The Belmont Ground since 1888 and is
affectionately known as “The Oystermen.” Over the decades, Whitstable have
competed in various regional leagues, including the original Kent League and later the
Isthmian League, where they enjoyed some of their best finishes in the 2010s. A major
milestone came in 2025 when they won the FA Vase at Wembley, defeating AFC
Whyteleafe 2–1 in a historic triumph. Now playing in the Southern Counties East League
Premier Division, Whitstable continue to grow under manager Jamie Coyle, blending
tradition with fresh ambition.
