Erith & Belvedere (A) Match Preview

Erith & Belvedere vs Punjab United, SCEFL Premier Division, Park View Road, Saturday 31st January 2026, 3:00pm Kick-Off

After Tuesday's postponement of our league match vs Stansfeld FC, Punjab United head into their clash with Erith & Belvedere in confident form, currently enjoying a nine-game unbeaten run in all competitions and currently sit 9th in the SCEFL, just three points off

the playoff places and games in hand due to involvements in FA Vase and Kent Senior Trophy.

Momentum is clearly building for Punjab, and this fixture is a crucial opportunity to push closer to the top end of the table. Recent performances have highlighted the importance of Will Johnson-Cole and Jack Hopkins, who have been standout figures in the attack. Both players have been instrumental in recent games.

A win away at Erith would be significant for Punjab, not only to extend their unbeaten run to ten, but also to strengthen their push for a playoff place and give the team confidence when going into their next match against Fisher in the Isuzu FA Vase 5th Round.

Our Opponents:

However, Erith & Belvedere will pose a serious challenge. They currently sit just one place below Punjab, separated only by goal difference, highlighting just how evenly matched the two sides are. Erith comes into the game with confidence following strong recent performances, including an impressive 2–0 victory over Hollands & Blair. However, in their last match there was a cup shock as FC Elmstead won 2-1 in the Kent Senior Trophy Quarter-Final.

With both sides level in quality, form, and league position, this fixture will make for a

highly competitive contest. For Punjab United, a win would not only extend their

unbeaten run but could also mark a decisive step toward the playoff places, making this

a must-win game in their SCEFL campaign.
