After a more than successful outing against Snodland Town, Punjab won 5-0 with a hat-trick from number 9, Roman Campball, who showed great composure in front of goal converting 2 penalties and a poacher's finish. This win puts Punjab in 4th place and reducing their goal difference to 0 and now look to their next opponents Lordswood AFC.


Lordswood are coming away from a 2-2 draw against Larkfield, who Punjab previously beat 1-0. Lordswood currently sit in just 18th place in the Premier division, so it's a crucial game for both sides.

Lordswood FC, established in 1968, started in the Rochester and District League, later joining the Kent County League in 1981 and the Kent League in 1996. Based in the Medway Towns, the club owns its ground, featuring floodlights, a 123-seater stand, and improved facilities over the years.


The club has achieved notable success, including a 4th-place finish in 2015/16, their best league position. They’ve consistently competed in the FA Cup since 1999 and the FA Vase since 1998, reaching the 4th round proper of the latter. Lordswood’s 2012/13 season was a highlight, finishing runners-up in the Kent Senior Trophy and reaching the 4th round of the FA Vase.


The club has faced challenges, with frequent managerial changes, rebuilding efforts, and disruptions like the COVID-19 pandemic.


Getting There:


The journey from The Steve Cook Stadium to Martyn Grove takes 21 minutes when travelling by car.


Chatham is the nearest train station to the ground. It then takes 11 mins by car to get to the ground.
