Forest Hill Park (SE Dons) vs Punjab United, SCEFL Challenge Cup Semi-Final, Alex Yee Ladywell Arena, Wednesday 12th March 2025, 7:45pm Kick-Off

Tomorrow evening, Punjab move away from the SCEFL Premier Division, as Punjab set their sights on Forest Hill Park (also known as the SE Dons) in the SCEFL Challenge Cup Semi-Final.
This cup-tie will be a real test for Punjab as Forest Hill are a formidable opponent. SE Dons play in the Southern Counties East First Division, where they currently sit in first place with 53 points, ahead of Canterbury City by 3 points.
Forest Hill Park (SE Dons) have had quite the ride to reach the semi-final. In the first round they ended up in a penalty shootout against Tunbridge Wells where they won 3-2 on penalties. In the second round they won 2-1 against Welling Town. In the third round they progressed as 2-0 winners against Erith and Belvedere and then took out another fellow Premier Division team in Holmesdale, 2-1.
Punjab United won 4-1 against SC Thamesmead in the second round. In the third round Punjab took a visit to Croydon FC, who play in the same league as Forest Hill (SE Dons), where Punjab won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Ryan Hayes. The quarter-finals proved more of a challenge with Alife Moynes scoring in the last 10 minutes to win the game for Punjab, booking their ticket in the semi-final, and now taking on the Youtube sensation, SE Dons.
Despite SE Dons being in a lower league than Punjab, that doesn't mean anything as they have showed with the players they have and performances that they can compete against teams in the SCEFL Premier Division.
Here’s all the stats that Punjab fans need to know ahead of the game…

Forest Hill Park FC was formed in 1992 by a group of footballers from Forest Hill and Honor Oak Park in South East London. The club initially joined the Crystal Palace and District Sunday League before moving to the Bromley & District League and later the South London Federation League. They achieved success, including being runners-up in the League Cup and Division One champions in 2005/06. In 2008, they joined the Kent County Football League, gaining promotion to Division 1 West in 2009. Despite a failed Step 6 league application, they won the West Kent Challenge Shield in 2011.
FHPFC progressed further, becoming Kent Invicta League members in 2015, and later joining the Southern Counties East Football League. The club enjoyed a strong 2018/19 season, finishing 7th. However, the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons were abandoned due to the pandemic. Under manager Darrell Queeley, the club finished 19th, 14th, and 15th in the following years.
In 2024, FHP merged with SE Dons, with plans to fully transition to the SE Dons name and brand by 2025/26.
