Punjab United are delighted to announce the signing of Toib Adeyemi. The defender has had a recent spell for us playing against Deal Town and Lordswood where we respectively won 2-1 and 4-1 with Toib scoring the first goal against Lordswood. Before then, he's played for a number of essex based sides, including Braintree Town, Bishop Stortford, Heybridge Swifts, Bowers & Pitsea, Hullbridge & New Salamis.
Toib Adeyemi said, “I’m excited about joining a club like Punjab United who have aspirations to get promoted as well as looking after the community. We have a great squad along with a fantastic management team and I’m looking forward to the season ahead. Expectations are to get promoted as I have done previously, I don’t know too much about the league but I know every game will be tough.
"Having played towards the end of the season against Deal and Lordswood we won both games and I was delighted to score against Lordswood. I enjoyed the boys desire to win and fight for each other on the pitch. Off the pitch the boys and the people involved with the club have welcomed me like I’ve been here for years and that’s the sign of a good club."
Manager - Chipie Sian: "At the time we was light in the defence due to suspensions. Toib joined to play the last few games of the season and since then it was a guarantee that we should sign him up for this season. A great defender who will be crucial for the upcoming season and also knows where the goal is also. He's someone who I feel like he will be a good leader around the squad as well as on and off the pitch.
